Drew May has been a photographer for over 40 years. Photographing and different styles, starting out as a landscape photographer and migrating to different genres. He stared professionally part time, photographing weddings in the 1980’s and then migrated to fashion, commercial, journalism, portraiture before returning to his first love, Landscapes.
After a change in his life he decided to go full time professional in early 2006. Returning to wedding photography primarily but also shooting portraits, photojournalism and commercial. The past Drew has been published in many periodicals, newspapers, both national and local and has enjoyed the occasional gallery show. He has been published in both Canadian Geographic and National Geographic.
In mid to 2013 Drew decided to go back to his roots and his greatest passion and returned to fine art landscape photography. His true passion for the grand landscape has never wavered, complemented by the intimate landscape as well as the massive panoramic. He continues to work on his own personal art projects.
To me, photography has always been about the finished product. A photograph is not truly finished until it is on paper and being enjoyed. And to that end you will never hear from my lips “it’s good enough”.
He is also available to help you create that special image for your home or office, you can choose from what is available or request a commission of your own ideas. All works are created on the finest paper and using the latest technology.
Today Drew seeks out the most interesting and beautiful locations he can find within this beautiful province of Alberta, as well as western Canada
