Paying in the FieldsHey all: I am back with another quick blog all about shooting. This time I’m gonna spend a little time talking about colour. I will admit there are times when I just can’t avoid colour, I have to admit I do love it. An image just at screens for colour must be edited in colour. So I thought what I would do is post a couple of photographs are taken in the last couple of days. They represent, a crop grown in Alberta, that is Canloa. To some of you it is called “Rape” seed, but here in Canada it was decided the name wasn’t proper anymore and the crop is a Canadian product so the name was changed. The crop is bright yellow for about a week or maybe too. It’s quite the event for us photographers. I know so many of my peers that will go out of their way to capture the fields at this time of year. Now the vast majority of those fields will have dropped the flowers by now, so we’re waiting for the grain farmers and their crops to ripen. Then we will get this lovely gold in brown tone in the fields which when the light hits it just so it’s quite attractive. Also having the wind move across it and make it look like you’re in the sea.
The first image is more along the lines playing with the qualities of the light and not really achieving a major image but I am getting the intensity of the yellow.
Second image, I seen this building many times. With this time, the crop is right up to the building with a very intensely yellow field. I may have intensified it a little bit. This one I might turn black and white, we’ll see what happens.
The last image on this blog is captured at the dying of the light at a local lake and I just love the simplicity of the image. It’s not a spectacular sunset, but I do love the colours.
